After finishing his degree in Civil Engineering at the University of Waterloo, Brent left Canada for a life in Africa. Over the last 25 years he has worked with numerous international organizations in senior management positions – raising funds and delivering programmes in over 15 countries. He is passionate about making communities stronger by being more inclusive.
With hands-on experience in a range of issues from social protection & social services; to youth livelihoods & entrepreneurship; to shelter & housing; to market systems, financial inclusion, municipal planning & infrastructure Brent understands how the pieces fit together. He has delivered emergency assistance programmes during periods of civil conflict as well as in developmental settings.
Having recently returned to Canada Brent is excited by the opportunity to utilize his practical field experience to help civil society in the north grow, develop, and prosper.
